Nourish Your Body. Strengthen Your Mind.

God created our bodies to function best when they are nourished with simple, wholesome foods. Ellen G. White teaches that what we eat affects not only our physical health but also our minds, emotions, and spiritual life. Choosing healthy foods can help us think more clearly, have greater self-control, and enjoy a more energetic and balanced life.

🌾 1. Choose the Foods God Originally Provided

God's ideal diet consists of natural, plant-based foods that nourish the body and mind.

"Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us by our Creator."

— The Ministry of Healing, p. 296

Healthy Tip:

Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables every day.

Choose whole grains such as oats, brown rice, and whole wheat.

Include nuts and seeds in moderation for healthy fats and protein.

Why?
These foods provide vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants that support brain function, improve energy, and reduce the risk of disease.

🍽️ 2. Eat Simple and Balanced Meals

Simple meals are easier to digest and provide steady energy throughout the day.

"Simple food, free from spices and grease... is most conducive to health."

— Counsels on Diet and Foods, p. 84

Healthy Tip:

Avoid meals overloaded with sugar, grease, and highly processed foods.

Fill your plate with colorful vegetables, whole grains, fruits, and healthy proteins.

Why?
Balanced meals help stabilize blood sugar, improve concentration, and support emotional well-being.

💧 3. Drink Plenty of Water

Water is one of God's natural remedies for health.

"Pure water is one of Heaven's choicest blessings."

— Counsels on Health, p. 61

Healthy Tip:

Drink water regularly throughout the day.

Limit sugary drinks and excessive caffeine.

Why?
Proper hydration supports brain function, improves concentration, and reduces fatigue.

🍎 4. Eat Fresh, Natural Foods

Fresh foods contain the nutrients our bodies need to stay healthy.

"The diet should be varied. The same dishes should not appear day after day."

— The Ministry of Healing, p. 299

Healthy Tip:

Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables.

Buy fresh foods whenever possible.

Why?
Variety helps ensure your body receives all the nutrients needed for physical and mental wellness.

🍰 5. Avoid Overeating

Even healthy foods should be eaten in moderation.

"Intemperance in eating, even of the right quality of food, has a prostrating influence upon the system."

— The Ministry of Healing, p. 305

Healthy Tip:

Eat until comfortably satisfied, not overly full.

Slow down and enjoy your meals.

Why?
Moderation improves digestion, supports healthy weight, and helps maintain mental alertness.

⏰ 6. Eat at Regular Times

A regular eating schedule supports healthy digestion.

"Regularity in eating should be carefully observed."

— The Ministry of Healing, p. 384

Healthy Tips

Don't skip meals.

Eat breakfast and keep meal times consistent.

Why?
Regular meals help maintain stable energy levels and improve focus throughout the day.

Healing Begins with Honesty Acknowledge Your Feelings " Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us." — Psalm 62:8 (NKJV) The Bible presents a different picture. God never asks us to pretend that we are okay. Throughout Scripture, faithful men and women openly expressed their grief, fear, disappointment, and loneliness before Him. King David poured out his heart in the Psalms. Elijah admitted his exhaustion and despair. Job questioned his suffering. Even Jesus wept at the tomb of Lazarus.
